ICT

Information and Communication Technology is taught in discrete classes to all students from Year 7 to Year 9. In Year 10, students choose to follow either OCR - GCSE ICT - A (Full Course) or GNVQ ICT. Students not following either one of these 2 courses still have access to computers via their other subjects or facilities in the 6th Form. In the Sixth Form students can progress to AS/A2 Level ICT Course.

The key stage 3 ICT Curriculum at Our Lady's Convent High School allows for pupils in years 7 to 9 to develop their skills in line with the National Curriculum for ICT and also to learn software skills, which are transferable to all their other subjects.

Pupils have a lesson (50 minutes) of ICT every week for the whole of year 7 & 8. In year 9, carousel approach allows pupils to continue to develop their skills.
